Acer palmatum 'Villa Taranto'

An old Italian selection with leaf lobes that are thin and deeply divided, giving the appearance of bamboo. The spring leaves are bright red changing to bronze with red overtones in summer. During the summer, 'Villa Taranto' will display a multi-color effect as new, red leaves appear over the top of older bronze leaves. Fall color is bright orange to gold. This variety is named for the garden in Italy in which it was found.
