Acer palmatum 'Stella Rossa'

A dwarf, lace-leaf Japanese Maple with weeping branches. The spring color is bright red with pink hues. The summer color turns to light red and then to bronze in late summer before changing to bright scarlet in the fall. Needs plenty of sun for best color. The name means "red star". Introduced by Fratelli Gilardelli Nursery in Italy.
