Acer palmatum 'Squitty'
A dwarf, variegated Japanese Maple with an upright habit. The tiny leaves and dazzling spring color are what makes 'Squitty' so sought-after by maple enthusiasts. In spring the leaves are variegated with pink, rose, and green. The sharply pointed small leaves and beautiful color display will make you do a double-take. In summer the color changes to green with subtle white variegation . In midsummer, 'Squitty' will push new growth that is solid green but this growth is not a reversion. Those same leaves will be variegated the following spring. Fall color is yellow. Discovered by the late Harold Johnson of Alabama. Introduced into the trade by Talon Buchholz.
