Acer palmatum 'Shin deshojo'

A fast-growing, upright Japanese Maple. 'Shin de shojo' continues to be one of the most popular varieties in the trade. The spring color is bright, fiery cherry red that literally glows. Considered by many to have the best spring color of any maple. The color fades to green with red overtones during the summer before changing to bright red in the fall. In 2018, 'Shin de shojo' won the Maple of The Year Award with the Maple society. This tree is also popular for bonsai work.
