Acer palmatum 'Shaina'
A dwarf Japanese Maple with a dense, round form. 'Shaina' originated as a witches broom mutation. It was discovered by Dick Wolf but was named by Billy Schwartz of Green Mansion Nurseries. 'Shaina' is Hebrew for "beautiful". The spring color is bright cherry red changing to dark red or bronze red for summer. New growth will appear in summer which contrasts nicely with older leaves. The fall color is bright scarlet.
