Acer palmatum 'Ruby Ridge'

A compact, upright Japanese maple. 'Ruby Ridge' has leaves that are very thick and slightly wrinkled. The spring color is black-red which changes to a chocolate color in summer. The fall color is bright cherry-red. Another interesting feature is the abnormally thick branches.
