'Rhode Island Red' is popular for its growth habit, which is semi-dwarf. It is often referred to as the "Dwarf Bloodgood". The large leaves are bright red in spring fading to medium red for summer. The fall color is bright scarlet. An ideal variety for a smaller space in the garden.
