An upright Japanese maple with linearilobum-type foliage. The thin, strap-like leaves create a graceful bamboo-like appearance. Spring growth emerges bright red before maturing to dark red or bronze-red through summer. In autumn, the foliage develops vivid shades of red-orange. Compared to many other linearilobum cultivars, this selection is faster growing and develops a more upright, vase-shaped habit. Discovered in New Zealand.
