Acer palmatum 'Pixie'

A medium-sized, upright Japanese Maple. 'Pixie' is popular for it spring color, which is bright pink-red darkening to bronze-red for summer. The fall color is bright scarlet-red. Another nice feature is the dark red bark color on younger branches. This variety needs a sunny spot for the best color. This variety will grow very fast during the first several years but will eventually slow down and mature to a mid-size tree.
