Acer palmatum 'Ornatum'
A dwarf, lace-leaf Japanese Maple with weeping branches. An old variety dating back to the 1880's. The spring color is red-orange turning to green or green with rose highlights in summer. The leaf petioles are bright green, which gives a nice contrast on the leaf. The fall color is bright orange. This variety is heavily weeping and will grow into a dense mound-shaped tree.
