Acer palmatum 'O jishi'

A dwarf Japanese Maple with crinkled leaves. This old variety is found in Japanese literature as far back as the 1700's. 'Ojishi' is known as the male lion counterpart to the popular variety 'Shishigashira'. The difference is that the leaves on 'Ojishi' are not crinkled as much. The spring and summer color is green turning to bright yellow-orange in the fall. This variety is popular for bonsai work.
