Acer palmatum 'Noel'

A vigorous, upright Japanese Maple with fantastic variegation. 'Noel' was discovered as a branch sport on the ever-popular 'Shin deshojo'. The spring color is bright cherry-red with splashes and streaks of pink in the leaf. The summer color changes to green and the variegation becomes less prominent. The fall color is bright red. Discovered by John O'Brien in Connecticut. One of the most sought-after varieties among collectors.
