Acer palmatum 'Murakumo'

An upright-growing Japanese Maple with unique variegation. 'Murakumo' is very eye-catching. The spring leaves are green with an abundance of white speckles that cover the leaf. In summer more green will come into the leaf and the variegation becomes more subtle. If grown in the shade, 'Murakumo' will retain more of the white coloration. Fall color is red. The name means "gathering clouds".
