Acer palmatum 'Mon zukushi'

An upright growing Japanese Maple. This vigorous and hardy variety is found in Japanese Literature dating back to the the 1700's. The large green leaves emerge in spring with subtle shades of peach or light red, turning to solid green for the summer. The outstanding feature of 'Mon zukushi' is its glorious, bright orange-to-red fall colors. The name translates as 'One of the sacred treasures'.
