This dwarf Trident Maple is really fun to grow. The small glossy-green leaves are more round than the species and pile up on each other. The spring growth is rose quickly changing to green. This makes a wonderful color display because there will nearly always be rose-colored new leaves sitting above older green leaves. In summer when the growth stops, the tree will be solid green. The long-lasting fall color is vibrant yellow, mixed with red or orange. The name translates as "Dwarf Pence". This variety is ideal for bonsai.
