Acer circinatum 'Little Gem'

A dwarf Vine Maple with a compact habit. 'Little Gem' originated as a witches broom mutation on a vine maple. Also know by the name 'Alleyene Cook'. The spring and summer color is green turning to bright yellow in the fall. There will normally be swelling at the graft union, which is normal for this variety as well as most other grafted circinatum varieties. Discovered by Alleyene Cook of Vancouver, B.C. and introduced by J.D. Vetrees.
