Acer palmatum 'Lionheart'

A lace-leaf Japanese Maple with weeping branches. This variety is known to be one of the most vigorous of all lace-leaf types. The growth habit is unique in that the branches will arch out before weeping. Some branches on younger trees will be distinctly vertical. The color is bright red in spring changing to dark red to bronze-red for summer. The fall color is vibrant bright scarlet.
