Acer palmatum 'Lightning'

An upright growing Japanese Maple. This new variety has large, matsumurae-type leaves with deeply divided lobes. The spring color is dark red, fading to bronze for the summer. The fall color is intense yellow or yellow/orange, which is why it was named 'Lightning'.
