Acer palmatum 'Kurenai jishi'

A dwarf Japanese Maple with interesting and unique features. This very desirable cultivar is often referred to as the "Red Shishigashira" because of its crinkled leaves. 'Kurena jishi's' compact growth habit and branch structure give it a very attractive appearance. The spring growth is deep red changing to bronze-red for summer. Fall color is bright orange to red. Introduced by Masayoshoi Yano of Japan.
