Acer shirasawanum 'Johin'

An upright growing Full Moon type Japanese Maple. 'Johin' is one of the very best Japanese Maples. The spring color is orange-red which transitions to a striking plum-wine color in late spring and early summer. The color is enhanced by bright green leaf veins. The fall color is orange and yellow darkening to red. Discovered by Talon Buchholz.
