This extraordinary dwarf tree continues to be in high demand year after year. 'Japanese Princess' originated as a seedling from 'Mikawa yatsubusa'. It features the same growth habit and layering leaves as its parent. What sets this variety apart is its spring color which is rosy-pink, or rose-orange. The color display will last through the spring and early summer before changing to mostly green by midsummer. Very often, white variegation will appear on the leaf during summer. The fall color is brilliant orange to red. Discovered by Talon Buchholz.
