Acer palmatum 'Coonara Pygmy'

A dwarf Japanese Maple with a dense, round growth habit. This one is always popular! Coonara Pygmy originated as a witches broom mutation on a large green Japanese Maple in Victoria Australia. The small green leaves are tipped in rose during the spring, changing to green for summer. The fall color is bright orange with hues of red. Easy and fun to grow if you have a small spot in the landscape. Also a great choice for container gardening. Discovered by Arnold Teese.
