Acer palmatum 'Chiri hime'

An upright, dwarf Japanese Maple. The green leaves are small and serrated on lighter green branches. The internodes are tight, causing the leaves to bunch up together. As the tree ages, corky nodules appear at the branch joints, giving the appearance of age. Very unique! Fall color is orange-red. A wonderful selection for bonsai work or for a small space in the landscape.
