Acer palmatum 'Azuma murasaki'

An upright-growing Japanese Maple with large, divided leaves. The spring color is red fading to bronze with soft red overtones. The fall color is bright red. This old variety was first recorded in Japan in 1882 and continues in production because of its durability and beauty in the landscape.
