Acer palmatum 'Asayake'

A new lace-leaf Japanese maple with very unique color. The spring leaves are yellow with a subtle red border. The fall color is bright orange. The name means "the color of sunrise". This variety is reported to have good heat and sun tolerance even in southern climates. Discovered by Neil Fusillo.
