Acer palmatum 'Akita yatsubusa'

An upright, dwarf Japanese Maple with dense branching. The small star shaped leaves emerge light green with a touch of red quickly turning to green for the summer. The fall color is a marvelous mix of red, orange, and yellow. This variety is similar to ‘Sharp's Pygmy’ but a bit slower growing. Popular for bonsai work or for a small spot in the landscape.
