Acer palmatum 'Shishigashira'

A dwarf Japanese Maple with unique leaves. Also called "Lions Head" this old variety is always very popular. The small, star-shaped leaves are curled and crinkled. The color is bright green in spring changing to medium green for summer. 'Shishigashira' is also known for its fall color, which is intense bright orange-yellow. Also very popular for bonsai and container gardening. Very durable and easy to grow.
