Acer palmatum 'Shigi no hoshi'

An upright Japanese Maple with reticulated variegation. 'Shigi no hoshi' is a sight to behold during the spring season! The spring leaf color is white with dark green veins. The summer color is green before changing to bright yellow for fall. The growth habit is wide and the branching tends to be pendulous. Discovered by Yutaka Tanaka of Japan. This variety is still rare in the trade.
