Acer palmatum 'Seiun kaku'

A dwarf Japanese maple with a distinctive and attractive growth habit. The spring foliage emerges yellow-green before maturing to medium green during summer. The leaves overlap densely along the branches, creating a layered, bonsai-like appearance. Its compact structure and foliage arrangement are reminiscent of Mikawa yatsubusa, but more vigorous.
