Acer palmatum 'Phantom Flame'

An upright-growing Japanese Maple with a round form and reticulated variegation. The spring leaves are cream-white with dark red edges and green veining. The color combination on the leaf is quite dramatic. The leaf color fades to green for summer before changing to bright orange-red in fall. This habit is open and multi-branched. Discovered by Crispin Silva of Molalla, Oregon.
