Acer palmatum 'Dr. Brown'

A weeping lace-leaf Japanese Maple. The color of this variety must be seen to be appreciated. The spring leaves are a beautiful wine color and slowly fade to rose-brown with prominent pea green veins and petioles that create a wonderful contrast. Also, the leaves often have an extra lobe compared to other lace-leaf varieties giving them more of a round shape. Fall color is dominantly orange highlighted by red and yellow.
