Acer palmatum 'Arakawa'
A fast-growing, rough bark type Japanese Maple. The corky and jagged bark on older branches makes this variety extremely popular for bonsai work. The bark feature will begin to show when the tree is 3 to 4 years old. Arakawa is also a fantastic choice for the landscape because of its fast, upright growth habit. The spring and summer leaves are green turning to bright orange-red in the fall.
