Acer palmatum 'Bihou'
A wonderful new maple grown for its unique bark color. Bark on twigs and branches turns a vivid coral yellow in winter. Fall color is shades of golden-yellow and orange. The Japanese name means "beautiful mountain range." This variety, although very beautiful is not a hardy tree for the landscape in colder climates. It seems to perform better growing in a container with well drained soil. Use caution if planting in the ground.
