Acer palmatum 'Kandy Kitchen'

This variety is truly fascinating! New leaves emerge pink/red in spring. As the season progresses Kandy Kitchen continuously pushes new leaves which contrast beautifully with older bronze/green leaves. Because the leaves bunch together, new growth appears as flowers on the tree. The color contrasting can be really beautiful. This tree is also noted for its dark red branches. Fall color is a very bright scarlet-red.
