Acer palmatum 'Baby Lace'
A dwarf Japanese Maple with a semi-weeping habit. The leaves emerge a reddish orange in the spring, and turning orange-red to pink-red in the fall. During the summer, the orange-red new growth is an attractive color contrast to the darker bronze-green mature leaves. This variety is slow rooting and can be difficult to grow in the landscape, especially in colder climates. But it is very suitable for growing in containers. A well drained mix is essential.
