Acer shirasawanum 'Kawaii'

A dwarf Japanese Maple with outstanding color. Kawaii leaves emerge in spring with beautiful plum-red with orange overtones. As summer progresses the variegation becomes more prominent.  One of the best features of Kawaii is that it shows its best color in summer when other varieties have faded.  Fall color offers brilliant red and deep orange. This variety is very slow growing. The name in Japanese means "cute".
