Acer palmatum 'Purple Curl'

An upright-growing Japanese Maple. The leaves of this variety curl downward and have a slight twist. The spring color is purple. As the season progresses, blotches of green will appear on the leaf. The fall color is bright red. Really a unique variety.... and sort of strange.
