A dwarf Japanese Maple with tiny leaves. 'Tama hime' is one of the best dwarf maples because of the tiny star-shaped leaves and dense growth habit. It refuses to grow vertically, instead, the branches grow sideways creating a dense, flat bush that is much wider than tall. The spring leaves are green with lovely red edges turning to solid green for summer. The fall color is yellow-orange. A wonderful selection for bonsai or a small space in the landscape.
