Acer shirasawanum 'Purple Thunder'

An upright growing, Full Moon type Japanese Maple. The leaves are deeply divided and the lobes have a slight inward curl. The spring color is deep red which softens to bronze-red for the summer. The fall color is bright red. A very durable variety. Discovered by Talon Buchholz.
