Acer palmatum 'Purple Ghost'

An upright-growing Japanese Maple with reticulated variegation. The spring color is dark purple-red with prominent dark veins which create a nice contrast. I have seen photos on other websites showing more of a purple-pink or lavender color but I have never seen that in the 15 years that I have observed this variety. The summer color is bronze-red changing to orange-red in fall. Discovered by Talon Buchholz.
