Acer palmatum 'Matthew'

A dwarf Japanese Maple with a compact, round habit. Originated as a witches broom mutation. The spring color is a stunning soft yellow to light green with rose highlights. The summer color fades to green. The fall color is blazing orange/red. The medium-sized leaves bunch up on each other, creating a fabulous display of color and form. Also known for its durability and heat tolerance. 'Matthew' is always in very high demand. Discovered by Billy Schwartz.
