Acer palmatum 'Lima Gold'

A dwarf Japanese maple with a dense, upright habit. 'Lima Gold' displays an abundance of tiny star-shaped leaves on a form that is similar to 'Sharp's Pygmy'. The spring color is bright yellow-green quickly changing to green for late spring and summer. The fall color is orange-red. An ideal candidate for bonsai work, container gardening, or a small space in the landscape. Discovered by Dick Wolff of Red Maple Nursery in Lima Pennsylvania.
