Acer palmatum 'Hupp's Dwarf'

An upright, dwarf Japanese Maple. This is one of the very best dwarf maples and one of my personal favorites. The growth habit is upright with an irregular branch structure, giving it a whimsical look and feel. The branch internodes are tight, causing the star-shaped leaves to bunch up on top of each other. The spring color is green with rose highlights turning green for summer. The new summer growth is rosy-pink! Fall color is a bright, beautiful blend of orange, red, and yellow. An excellent choice for bonsai. Discovered by Barbara Hupp.
