Acer palmatum 'Kurenai jishi'
A dwarf Japanese Maple with a stubby congested form. Small leaves with twisted lobes are purple-brown with a lighter orange-brown on new growth. Yellow to red fall color. Discovered by Masayoshi Yano from Japan. Not to be confused with Kurui jishi, which is a different variety.
